What is the Digital Resilience Bonus (DRB)?

The DRB is one of the efforts by the Singapore government to help businesses, particularly in the food and retail industry that have been deeply affected by COVID-19, adopt digital solutions to achieve business growth and efficiency. Eligible retailers who sign up to sell on Amazon.sg may be eligible to receive a bonus payout of up to S$2,500 for the e-commerce category from IMDA.

Eligibility Criteria

Interested companies should meet all of the following criteria:

    UEN is incorporated on or before 26 May 2020
    UEN has been registered with PayNow Corporate and Nationwide E-Invoicing Network
    Enterprise is using a digital solution that qualifies for the e-commerce bonus category by 30 June 2021

Getting Started

    Step 1: Take up digital solutions that qualify for the bonus
    Register for your Amazon Selling account and make your first sale. Seller account fees are waived until Dec 31, 2020.
    Step 2: Sign up for PayNow Corporate and Nationwide e-Invoicing Network
    Step 3: Look out for an email from Amazon and submit your business information
    Amazon will send an email to active sellers with a link to a form where sellers can provide their details. Please look out for this email and fill out the form if you wish for Amazon to submit your details to IMDA for IMDA to verify your eligibility for the grant.
    Step 4: Amazon will send UEN and usage info to IMDA
    Processing time will take 1 - 2 months after submission.
    Step 5: Receive bonus via PayNow Corporate
    Check your PayNow Corporate account statement to see if you have received the one-time Bonus from IMDA for the e-commerce bonus category.

Eligibility criteria for the Digital Resilience Bonus Payout
  • To qualify for DRB, an enterprise must be: (i) incorporated on or before 26 May 2020 with a Food Service or Retail SSIC code and (ii) using the digital solutions between 1 June 2020 and 30 June 2021.
  • Eligible enterprises can receive payouts of up to S$10,000, if they:
    a) Adopt PayNow Corporate and PEPPOL e-invoicing; and
    b) Adopt the digital solutions in the required categories
  • The payout for Category 1 and 2 is S$2,500 per enterprise per category, while the payout for Category 3 is S$5,000 per enterprise. Enterprises that fulfil all categories will receive S$10,000. Digital solutions in each category are illustrated in the tables below.

    i) Accounting, (ii) HR/Payroll and iii) Inventory Management

    What are the types of retail enterprises that qualify for DRB?
    Retail enterprises include those in footwear, bags, clothing, furniture, jewelry, watches, cosmetics, hardware, pet supplies, toys, books, handphones and computer hardware.     How do eligible retailers on Amazon.sg apply for DRB?
  • There is no need for enterprises to apply for the Bonus. IMDA will work with pre-approved digital solution providers and automatically pay out the Bonus to eligible enterprises.
  • Amazon will submit to IMDA the unique entity number (UEN), SSIC and confirmation of activity for Singapore retailers who made sales on Amazon.sg from 1 June 2020 to 30 June 2021. Amazon will send an email to active sellers with a link to a form where sellers can provide these details and consent for Amazon to submit this information to IMDA. Please look out for this email and fill out the form if you wish for Amazon to submit your details to IMDA for IMDA to verify your eligibility for the grant.
  • When will the payouts be made?
  • The first enterprises that adopt the pre-defined solutions are expected to receive their first Bonus payouts in August. Those that adopt later will receive their Bonus payouts in later months. IMDA will have a monthly cycle of assessing enterprises’ eligibility for the Bonus and making the Bonus payouts.
  • Assessment of eligibility for the DRB payouts is based on whether an enterprise has used the solution, regardless of the date when the solution was deployed.

  • If I get paid for fulfilling Category 1, and I subsequently qualify for Category 2, will I receive the second payout upon fulfilment of Category 2?
  • Yes, the Bonus for each category will be extended to you if you adopt all the solutions in that category. The total payout for each enterprise upon fulfilment of all three categories is S$10,000.
  • Are retailers who have signed up for the Enterprise Singapore’s e-Commerce Booster Package with Amazon eligible to receive the Digital Resilience Bonus?
  • Yes, retailers are eligible to receive both as the E-Commerce Booster Package and Digital Resilience Bonus.
  • If I am actually a Food Service or Retail SSIC my SSIC has been incorrectly listed, do I still qualify for the Digital Resilience Bonus?
    There are appeal channels for such cases.

  • Please note that all appeals are subject to IMDA’s evaluation and approval. Enterprises whose appeals are supported will be notified via email and their payout(s) will be processed accordingly.
